What measures women`s beauty?
The criteria are not physique or warm-heartedness. Scientists from English University of St. Andrew discovered that female attractiveness is determined by amount of female hormone estrogen in organism.
Professor Miriam Smith made photographs of 59 women at the age of 18-25 years every day during 6 weeks. At the same time level of estrogen in urine and phase of menstrual cycle were controlled. None of women used make-up or contraceptives during experiment.
Then photos of every woman at period of highest estrogen content in organism were chosen and shown to examination group of 30 people including equal amount of men and women at the age 18-25 years. They had to determine that most attractive and feminine participant of experiment.
Examination committee were also suggested to estimate 2 photos formed as imposition of 10 female faces with the highest and lowest levels of estrogen. Results of experiments were predictable - the "most-most" were called ladies with highest content of estrogen.
"There is a correspondence between level of estrogen in organism of every woman and level of her attractiveness, health and feminity. This proves that ability to conception is connected with attractiveness", - said Smith.
"It is more likely that level of estrogen increased at pubertal period which usually lasts for 7 years and depends on heredity. Hormone influences growth of bones and formation of tissues and also appearance.
But it is wrong to inject additional doses of estrogen to 13-year old girls in hope to make them beautiful. The effect may be positive but nobody knows how organism will react on such hormonal therapy.
